November 14, 1998:

At this point, I was still fooling with the Vortech MAF, so I decided to run the car on the dyno with the stock MAF again. Other than the Ram Air I installed - which would have no effect standing still, the only modification made was the removal of the Air Horns.

For the two graphs below, Kenny took my best run from 2.10.98 and plotted it against my two runs on 11.14.98. Removal of the Air Horns appeared to mildly effect mid-range power, but increased peak by a bit. The chart for the two Nov. 14th runs are below.

The graphs and charts below are a little confusing for me as the max hp and tq's conflict with each other. For a charted comparison of the differences between hp and torque over the rpm range AFTER the Air Horns Were Removed, click here.
